Ham radio operators provide volunteer communications support for various activities, including foot races,  bicycle rides, fairs, parades, and other public gatherings, to supplement the communications available for an event, in the interest of the safety of the participants and staff in the event, or in the interest of the safety of the general public; and to practice our communications skills.

We support many non-profit events throughout the year and at times with as many as 50 Amateur Radio Operators volunteering their time, polishing their communication skills, while assisting our neighbors and friends in our communities. Many of these events need non-amateur support as well and the venue’s are always willing to put volunteers to work, usually a free meal and a T-shirt await those working with each event!
